Thought i'd do some updateing, an why not with this game, as me and =rob990 have been interested in it allot latley. =] To us, it looks like an awesome game to come! All writeing is researched and written up by me, not copy pasted.

So what is it ?

The game is called Digimon World Champtionship (or Digimon Story) for DS, and it's the 4th Digimon game to be realsed on Nintendo DS. Digimon World Dawn & Dusk, and Digimon World DS was the other 3, only realsed in JP and USA.

What genre ?

Where as Dawn and Dusk was a full based RPG game, and DM World DS was Adventure/RPG, this new game is a blend of RPG/Vertual pet/Stratergy/Simulation. It's said that to be good at this game, you'll need to be a pretty damn good player.

When's it come out ?

It was released in Japan on February 14, 2008, and is due to be released in the USA August 24, 2008. There is no further information of countrys where it is to be released, England/Europe didn't receve Dusk and Dawn, as i had to order mine over seas, lets hope it's not the same in this case. :]

But I don't like Digimon....

Neither did I till I played the games. =] Anyone who hasent tryed Digimon, i strongly suggest you do as it's a great game. Weather its a Vertual pet, PS1 game or DS game, their all great games that you'll get suckered into.

As you could guess, this resembles a Vertual Digimon pet from the Digivices back in 1997. You can set up different areas for your Digimon to train in (Much like the Digi-Farm in Dusk/Dawn) which raises certain stats.

The battleing looks allot different than before, kind of like in Digimon World 1, Because you cant control what your Digimon is doing, it fights by itself. Before the battle, you see a shadow of your opponent. If your knolagable enough to work out who it is, you can stratergise before battle.

The aim of the game ?

Not much is written about it on the internet, but allot of the game play consists of raiseing your Digimon in a V-pet type way, and after training and Digivolveing, you enter them into battles. The main aim of the game is to win World Champtionship, an event thats held once every 4 years. And do to this you must battle your way up the ranks.

Overall

I think its an exiteing game to look fowards to. =] For those of you that dont know what a Digimon V-pet is, its like a Tamagotchi, and this game is basically a revolutionary version of it. Digimon fan or not, it's a game I think can be enjoyed by anyone, and will defanatly be worth the wait. :3
